These items do not fall under the definition of marijuana as per the 2018 Federal Farm Bill and do not incorporate any marijuana extracts. Instead, they are crafted from industrial hemp and contain less than 0.3% THC (by dry weight).

Answer: THCa is a non-psychoactive cannabiniod that is found in raw cannabis plants. It is the precursor to THC, which is converted to THC when exposed to heat. THCa is typically found in much higher concentrations in fresh cannabis plants than in dried or cured cannabis.  When cannabis is exposed to heat, such as smoking or vaping, THCa undergoes decarboxylation, which converts it into THC.

THC is the primary psychoactive compound found in cannabis, and it is responsible for the “high” that people expeience when they consume cannabis.  THCa, on the other hand, does not produce psychactive effects.  While THC is known for its euphoric effects, THCa is more commonly associated with its potential therapeutic benefits.
